A murdered cardinal, a confessional and a web of dark intrigue bring forth an unlikely detective: a novice Nun desperate to save the city’s orphanage, and the only clue is a wig label clutched in the dead man’s hand. She investigates The Wigmaker’s shop, and realises the case is anything but simple. The cardinal was less than saintly with mountainous gambling debts, lecherous liaisons and shady dealing with church-owned real estate – the city orphanage. It is clear many of the Wigmaker’s clientele had good reason to want him dead. The Detective Nun must untangle the city’s web of lies to uncover the cardinal’s killer before he strikes again.
